What we look for?

We are looking for a Software System Architect to contribute for a project with one of our global customers in the banking field.

Skills:

At least 3 years of experience as a Senior Architect
At least 5 years of experience as a lead or senior software engineer
Responsible for solution architectures: from design and implementation to operation
Ability to identify options for solution architectures and make trade-off architecture decisions
Analysing complex business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
Ability to abstract complex topics and focus on the key issues that need architecture decisions
Collaboratively develop and coordinate solutions with business and technology stakeholders and architecture colleagues
Proactive mindset, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Affinity to agile delivery and the role of architecture in SAFe methodology.
Good knowledge of business process modelling, including understanding of BPMN 2.0 standard
Bachelor or Master degree in computer science, engineering, or similar
Additional certification, e.g., SAFe
English: Business fluent
Proven experience in solution design and knowledge of current architecture styles, such as event-driven, microservices, modular monolith
Familiar with integration patterns, event driven architecture, data streaming and Kafka
Deep understanding and experience of software engineering, including DevOps
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience with hybrid cloud/onprem development environments and kubernetes.
Experience or affinity to highly regulated industries like Banking/FI

Your day to day

You design and are responsible for the Solution Architecture for applications in delivery
You ensure that your Solution Architectures in delivery adhere to architecture standards and are aligned with the target architectures of the domain
You raise and manage architecture debt when there is a misalignment between transition and the target architectures
You initiate architecture decisions, document them as Architecture Decision Records (ADR) and have them approved by the relevant architecture boards
You advise and coach software engineers in the product teams on the implementation of Solution Architectures and ensure technical feasibility
In addition to architecture blueprints, you also support later phases of the software lifecycle, such as testing, release and operations architecture blueprints
You work closely with product owners to refine and shape the initiatives and translate them into capabilities and implementable building blocks

Location: Madrid (3 days office, 2 days WFH)
