About the role

We're searching for an energetic and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our product development team. This role is perfect for someone with 2-3 years of professional QA experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality, reliable software. You'll play a vital role in the entire software development lifecycle, ensuring our applications meet user needs and function flawlessly before they reach our customers. You'll be instrumental in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our testing processes.

What you'll do

• Automation Support: Participate in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts, including Browser Test Automation (Playwright or similar) and API test automation, contributing to the automation framework under guidance

• Test Execution: Execute detailed manual test cases (functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing) across various platforms (web, mobile, desktop).

• Defect Management: Accurately identify, document, and report bugs and inconsistencies using a bug tracking system (e.g., Jira, Linear), and track defects through to resolution.

• Test Planning: Assist senior team members in developing and refining comprehensive test plans and test strategies based on product requirements and specifications.

• Collaboration: Work closely with Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to understand product changes and ensure quality throughout the development cycle.

• Process Improvement: Contribute ideas for improving the QA process, test coverage, and overall product quality.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, preferably testing web or desktop applications.

• Technical Skills:

• Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) principles.

• Proficiency with SQL for database validation and backend testing.

• Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Linear).

• Familiarity with at least one API testing tool (e.g., Postman, Swagger) is highly desirable.

• Basic knowledge of automation testing concepts and a programming language (like Python or Java) is a plus.

• Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
