What's exciting about the role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Software QA Engineer to be an integral part of our European team, working with us on the quality of leading POS terminals for the German/Austrian & Swiss market. As a Software QA Engineer, you will develop and execute software and system tests (both manual and automated) to ensure terminals meet Verifone's high quality standards.

You will be involved in projects from the beginning, gathering product requirements, setting up the test environment, designing and executing the software test plans and test scripts, and analyzing and documenting the test result.

We offer hybrid working model, with a minimum of 3 days working in one of our offices: Bad Hersfeld (Preferred) or Munich.

Key Responsibilities:

• As part of our team, you will implement customer requirements for our payment solutions in manual and automated tests (black box/white box tests) for the German-speaking market.

• The construction and development of automated integration and system tests is just as much a part of your tasks as supporting the development team in matters of quality assurance.

• You accompany new product launches at customers and always work closely with other departments in an international environment.

Skills and Experience we desire

• You have successfully completed a university degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable course or have comparable IT skills.

• You have very good knowledge with proven experience in the programming languages C/C++ for white box tests or have already gained experience with test automation and scripting languages such as Perl, Python, etc.

• You have experience in writing and executing detailed test cases, test plans and test design documents.

• Ideally, you have already worked in quality assurance/testing software for Linux systems (PC/server/embedded).

• Good knowledge of English (Written and Verbal), plus good knowledge of German (Written and Verbal) as many specifications and requirements are only available in German
