Software QA Automation Engineer (Remote, Philippines)

The role involves developing test automation scripts to speed up delivery of testing milestones while maintaining high quality standards. The primary focus will be on automating existing manual tests to improve speed, reliability, and efficiency.

This is an external contractor role, and the engagement is structured around specific project requirements. There may be opportunities for continued work through other projects or an extension, depending on organizational priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute and maintain automated tests in various layers (UI, API, etc) of the application using automation tools and scripting tools
• Create reusable and scalable automation test components
• Perform automated regression, smoke, functional and end-to-end testing
• Perform parallel and scheduled test execution
• Monitor, analyze and report automation test results
• Monitor, debug and fix failed tests

Requirements:
Technical Requirements

• 3+ years experience in Software Testing and Development
• At least 1 year hands-on experience in Software QA Automation
• Experienced with UI automated test development using Selenium or Playwright
• Experienced in C# programming, with a strong grasp of object-oriented principles and best coding practices
• Experienced in using Azure DevOps for managing repositories, configuring pipelines, and executing tests
• Proven experience in developing and testing web and mobile applications, and/or kiosk-based systems.
• Proven ability to convert manual test cases to automation test scripts
• Proven ability to analyze failed test scripts, debug and trace root causes
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment

Applicants for this role must be amenable to the following:

• Using their own device and maintaining a reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum of 100 Mbps)
• Working within a dedicated schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Manila Time)
• Being available for scheduled and ad-hoc calls, meetings, and chats during weekday working hours
• Having access to a quiet, professional workspace suitable for video meetings and calls
• Using dual monitors (preferred but not required, if available)
• Being available to start immediately
• Acknowledging that all work and outputs will be covered by a standard Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement, as well as an Intellectual Property Assignment Agreement, to protect both company and client information
