FMC is searching for talented, self-motivated professionals to work in a free-thinking culture creating the next gen premium entry EVs with the highest autonomous technologies at our Santa Clara, CA facility.
A. Responsibilities (essential to the position)
• Responsible for planning and integrating software components into our existing Automotive infotainment systems.
• Design and optimization of software development processes.
• Work with internal teams in creating and aligning the plans.
• Develop a concept for software update front- and backend.
• Responsible for platform bring-up, troubleshooting issues.
• Responsible for verifying software component deliveries from suppliers, such as interface matches, compatibilities, etc.
B. Requirements:
1. Industry background:
· Background in build automation system such as Jenkins
· Experience with embedded systems
· Strong record of innovation demonstrated through patents, papers or products
· Proven ability to articulate and advocate a vision for technology direction with customers and internal development teams
2. Knowledge and skills:
· Experience with software architecture and development paradigms
· Experience developing product in UNIX environment
· Experience with source control such as Perforce
· Experience with software project management, familiar with agile methodology
· Desired experience: Embedded systems and/or Automotive, Unity, Unity 3D Engine
3. Education / Training:
· Bachelor in Automotive/Embedded Software/Systems Engineering/Computer Science with 5+ years of work experience
· Strong presentation skills and excellent interpersonal skills; fun, outgoing and easy to work with
· Self-starter able to operate with minimal supervision to achieve objectives
