Why Box needs you:

E-Commerce Platform is a cross-functional team within the Core Experience organization at Box, responsible for building the systems that enable all existing and prospective customers to purchase, adopt, and manage their Box subscription through our self-service experiences. This work will help Box expand into new international markets, provide all customers access to Box’s full suite of offerings, and enhance our pricing & discount offer engine to fuel business growth. These services power purchases that make up a sizable portion of Box’s revenue, so uptime and reliability are paramount. Near-term projects include expanding the frontend purchasing experience for Box to drive net-new recurring revenue, while another key track of work this year is modernizing the E-Commerce platform, migrating the codebase to federated modules, and improving engineers efficiency.

What you'll do:

•
Lead the design and implementation of new platform components from the ground up, planning and executing end-to-end on project and quarterly deliverables.

•
Maintain documentation on development setup and engineering environment along with the greater team.

•
Review and assess the technical feasibility of project requirements and propose innovative solutions

•
Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, other engineers, team members and across teams.

•
Attend and engage in weekly stand-ups, team meetings, manager 1:1s.

•
Play a role in developing and fostering Box culture in the newly created office.

•
Participate in the production on-call duties rotation with the team members

Who you are:

•
Ideally 4+ years of professional software development experience.

•
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

•
Strong proficiency in React framework and TypeScript.

•
Enthusiasm for applied AI, including willingness to experiment with AI agents, tools, prompt engineering, and model integrations in product development

•
You possess strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles

•
Experience with testing principles and frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright, etc.).

•
Must speak English proficiently

Preferred Skills:

•
Prior experience in the e-commerce/finTech domain

•
Experience working with distributed teams in different time zones

25% technical investigation

15% meetings

10% documentation
