Software Expert (Blender, Godot, GIMP, R, Wings 3D)

Compensation: $0-$65 per hour

Location: Remote (must have access to a physical Mac)

Fluent Language Skills Required: English

We are supporting a high-priority data collection initiative focused on improving how AI systems interpret complex software interfaces and real-world, multi-step workflows. Existing datasets often lack the precision and expert-level grounding necessary to accurately represent authentic professional software usage.

This initiative addresses that gap by gathering high-quality screen recordings and detailed UI annotations from experienced domain experts working directly within live digital environments.

Requirements:
What You’ll Do

Depending on the phase of the project, you may be responsible for one or both of the following:

• Record screen sessions demonstrating specific tasks, with clear verbal narration explaining each step and workflow decisions
• Annotate screenshots of professional software by drawing accurate bounding boxes around relevant UI elements
• Follow structured staging instructions to configure required interface states before recording
• Use a custom capture tool to document workflows consistently and precisely
• Adhere strictly to detailed guidelines to ensure high data quality and usability

Required Expertise

You should have strong working knowledge of one or more of the following professional tools:

• Blender
• Godot
• GIMP
• R
• Wings 3D

Additionally, you should:

• Be highly detail-oriented and comfortable following precise technical instructions
• Be capable of working independently and meeting tight deadlines
• Have access to a physical Mac and be willing to create a fresh macOS user profile if required

Nice to Have

• Experience with data collection, annotation, or quality assurance work
• Prior experience recording or documenting professional workflows
• Comfort adapting to new tools and staged digital environments

• Screen recordings accurately capture realistic expert workflows
• Tasks are completed efficiently without compromising quality
• Collected data is scalable and suitable for advanced AI research and development

Contract & Payment Terms

• Engagement as an independent contractor
• Fully remote with flexible scheduling
• Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise based on completed services
• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on performance and program needs
• No access to confidential or proprietary information from any external employer or institution is required
• Visa sponsorship (including H1-B or STEM OPT) is not available
