Software Engineering Manager

The opportunity

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the teams behind SyncSketch and SpeedTree, two products that play an important role in creative production workflows. SyncSketch helps teams collaborate and review creative work at scale, while SpeedTree is an industry-leading solution for vegetation modeling used across film, VFX, and interactive content.

In this role, you’ll lead a team of talented engineers, strengthen execution through agile ways of working, and partner closely with Product, Sales, Solutions Architects, and customers to shape the roadmap. You’ll also be a coach and mentor, helping your team grow their skills, expand their impact, and build meaningful careers at Unity.

What you'll be doing

• Lead, support, and grow the engineering teams responsible for SyncSketch and SpeedTree
• Drive improvements in team efficiency, execution, and delivery predictability by evolving agile practices, team processes, and operating rhythms
• Partner with Product, Sales, Solutions Architects, Customer Success, and customers to understand market needs and translate them into roadmap priorities
• Foster an inclusive, high-trust team culture centered on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Advocate for engineering best practices that improve product quality, reliability, and developer productivity

What we're looking for

• Experience leading software engineering teams and delivering impactful products
• Film or VFX industry experience and an understanding of the workflows, tools, and production environments used by creative teams
• Experience with cloud-based SaaS products, including the challenges and opportunities involved in building and operating them
• A track record of improving team effectiveness through agile methodologies and execution-focused process improvements
• A passion for people leadership, including coaching, mentoring, and supporting career development

• Experience with products or pipelines used in animation, virtual production, real-time 3D, or game development
