Required Skills You've been in the game for 12+ years and, critically, have spent 3+ years operating as a Principal Engineer (or equivalent) for large-scale production systems. Deep mastery in designing and building highly scalable, cloud-native systems, including distributed and event-driven architectures. You've got a favorite modern backend language (like Java, Python, or Go) and a track record of wrestling large-scale data in both SQL and NoSQL environments. Significant experience building and deploying on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Your superpower is technical communication—you can articulate a complex technical vision and help the other person understand. Preferred Skills You have prior experience in E-commerce, conversational AI, chatbot development, or large-scale search/recommendation systems. The typical base salary range for this position is $172,500 - $260,100 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $207,800 - $285,800 annually.

The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
