Software Engineer, Unpublished R&D Product

As a Software Engineer I, you will work on foundational systems and features that power a new R&D gameplay experience. You’ll join a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and producers focused on building scalable, performant, and user-centric solutions. This role is ideal for early-career engineers who are eager to learn and contribute in a high-impact, collaborative environment. You will report to the Engineering Manager of your team.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain software systems with guidance from senior engineers

• Contribute to the development and testing of client, backend, and tooling features

• Participate in code reviews and apply engineering best practices

• Debug and resolve development issues in collaboration with teammates

• Write clear documentation to support team knowledge sharing

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in professional software development

• Proficiency in C++ and familiarity with software engineering fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, etc.)

• Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams

• Willingness to learn new systems and tools

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience

• Familiarity with Unreal Engine or other game engines

• Experience with version control systems such as Perforce or Git

• Exposure to multiplayer systems, content pipelines, telemetry, or build systems

• Proficiency with Go and/or backend microservices
