The Senior Software Engineer (VB) role is focused on the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of complex internal software applications, primarily using Visual Basic (VB / VB.NET), C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, and Microsoft/Oracle databases. The position leads development projects and is involved in the full software development life cycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support. It is responsible for ensuring technical quality, maintaining and optimizing existing systems, and delivering scalable business solutions.
A strong emphasis is placed on Visual Basic expertise, as this skill is key for maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing existing business-critical applications. The role also requires strong experience in APIs, relational databases, and software engineering best practices within collaborative environments. They are seeking an analytical, self-driven, customer-oriented professional with strong problem-solving skills, project management capabilities, and advanced English communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience, including senior-level experience.
• Strong expertise in Visual Basic (VB / VB.NET), C#, .NET, ASP.NET, APIs, and SQL databases.
• Solid experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Knowledge of SDLC, design patterns, testing, and object-oriented programming.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Advanced English level required.
