Joining Collibra’s AI Foundations team

You will be joining the AI Foundations team, the engine room behind Collibra’s Artificial Intelligence strategy. Our mission is to build the platform and tools that enable other engineering teams to rapidly create and deploy high-quality AI functionalities. We are currently a team of backend experts looking for a partner to lead our frontend initiatives while working across the full stack.

You will play a critical role in defining the user experience of our internal AI platform, ensuring our tools are intuitive for developers and data scientists. Since our frontend surface area is still growing, you will also dive into our Java/Spring backend, helping us build the robust microservices that power the next generation of intelligent data solutions.

This is a hybrid role based in our Prague office. Our hybrid model means you’ll work from the office at least two days each week. This setup helps us stay connected, work more closely together, and keep making progress as a team.

Full Stack Engineers at Collibra are responsible for

• Leading the design and implementation of React-based user interfaces in order to make complex AI workflows accessible and intuitive for other internal teams.

• Developing and maintaining Java/Spring Boot microservices to ensure the backend robustly supports our growing set of UI features.

• Collaborating with Product Managers and Backend Engineers to define API contracts that bridge the gap between data-heavy services and the frontend.

• Establishing frontend best practices and patterns within the team in order to raise the bar for UI code quality and maintainability.

• Optimizing application performance across the stack to deliver a seamless experience for users interacting with large datasets and AI models.

You have

• Experience with and proficiency in React and the modern TypeScript ecosystem.

• Experience building and maintaining backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

• Basic understanding of relational database design and SQL.

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required

• You must have work authorization to work in Prague, CZ.

You are

• Adaptable: You are a frontend expert, but you are comfortable and willing to wear a backend hat when the roadmap requires deep-dive server-side work.

• Platform-minded: You enjoy building tools that help other developers succeed.

• Familiar with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Passionate about code quality, writing clean, testable code in both TypeScript and Java.

Measures of success

• Within your first month, you will have set up your environment, deployed your first code change to production, and familiarized yourself with our existing backend architecture.

• Within your third month, you will have taken ownership of the team's frontend codebase and shipped a key UI feature for the AI platform.

• Within your sixth month, you will be comfortable moving fluidly between frontend and backend tasks and will have established a standard for UI development within the AI Foundations team.
