Software Engineer (PL/SQL)

As a member of the Avaloq development team, you will be part of a group of highly skilled, motivated and dynamic people that are responsible for a central part of the Avaloq Banking Suite. You will design, implement, maintain and test innovative software solutions to meet the client's needs. You will be working as a Mid or Senior Level Developer in an environment where formal and on-the-job training is a priority, and you will learn a lot.

The Avaloq Banking Suite is one of the largest PL/SQL applications in the world. It is safe to say that your co-workers are among, if not the most knowledgeable Oracle specialists in the world. Development takes place in our integrated development environment - a customized Eclipse platform, which is tightly integrated with a build automation and delivery system, allowing a standardized and automated process to be followed.

Your key tasks

• Analyse, design, develop and implement complex software systems for the credit module
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices and design patterns
• Optimize existing software systems for improved performance and scalability
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in financial software development
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team's technical growth
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and security standards in all software solutions
• Develop code with proprietary language  AvaloqScript

• Strong evidence of track record of software engineering ideally financial services or credit-related software development
• Experience of financial software development and banking processes
• Strong understanding of database systems and SQL
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development best practices
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to maintain multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently

It would be a real bonus if you have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of credit processes, products, and regulations
• Avaloq Certification or Avaloq Knowledge
