Software Engineer (Next.js Developer)

Get Licensed is a fast-paced technology business at heart (the majority of our team are developers or tech wizards), and we are at an exciting stage of our business, having tripled since 2020. We have ambitious plans to significantly scale our existing business, broaden our product suite, and continue to grow profitably revenue year on year, with a clear roadmap of how we will get there. 

We’re seeking a Software Developer (Next.js Developer) who is passionate about creating fast, scalable, and user-friendly web applications. You’ll be working closely with designers, backend engineers, and QA to build high-quality user experiences that align with our product vision.
What you will be doing

Develop and maintain Next.js web applications with a focus on performance and maintainability.

Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement responsive and accessible designs.

Integrate with RESTful and RealTime databases like Firestore.

Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code.

Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions.

Optimize pages for SEO, Core Web Vitals, and cross-browser compatibility.

Stay updated with Next.js and React ecosystem trends.

What we are looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

1–3+ years of professional experience in React.js or Next.js development.

Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3/Tailwind.

Experience with SSR/SSG, routing, and API integration in Next.js.

Familiarity with Git, version control workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.

Understanding of REST APIs and JSON-based communication.

Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).

Familiarity with PWA, caching, and offline-first applications.

Experience deploying to Vercel, AWS, or similar cloud platforms.
