Software Engineer, Mobile (React Native)

The Role

Anaplan is looking for a Software Engineer, Mobile to join our Experience Engineering workstream. You will be an essential member of a team dedicated to building and scaling our platform for a mobile-first world. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our award-winning planning technology and grow your skills in mobile development. We are looking for a passionate and collaborative engineer who is eager to learn and solve problems. In this role, you will contribute to the systems, build key features, and follow best practices that enable Anaplan to deliver a seamless, intuitive, and powerful mobile experience to our customers.

Your Impact

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of our React Native application, helping to build a high-quality, scalable mobile experience.

• Help enhance the experience for our mobile users by building features that make our platform more intuitive and accessible on the go.

• Work closely with product and engineering teams to turn feature requirements into high-quality, well-tested code.

• Support and improve the CI/CD pipeline for our mobile applications, helping to automate testing and release processes.

• Solve interesting technical challenges in a mobile environment, including UI development, state management, and performance tuning.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to learn and apply best practices in mobile development across the engineering organization.

• Write clean, maintainable code and accompanying tests to ensure the quality and reliability of the mobile application.

Core Qualifications

• Good problem-solving skills and a desire to build well-designed, scalable systems.

• Strong proficiency with React Native, JavaScript (ES2015+), TypeScript.

• A collaborative mindset and great communication skills, with an eagerness to learn from your team members.

Helpful Experience

• Experience building and shipping applications using React Native.

• Familiarity with native mobile development (Swift/Objective-C for iOS or Kotlin/Java for Android).

• Experience with front-end architecture, state management libraries (like Redux), and creating responsive UIs for mobile platforms.

• An understanding of the process for deploying apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically AWS EC2, for deploying and managing applications.

• Familiarity with backend services and APIs; experience with the JVM (Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot) is a plus.
