The Tools Innovation team is tasked with the implementation of a professional development environment and tools for both Avaloq developers and clients' customization experts.

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team. Your role will be to develop database applications. You will work with product owners, tech leads, and fellow engineers every day to improve Avaloq's wealth management technology. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing our database automation and integration system, a key component that empowers both our developers and a diverse array of clients to achieve their goals.

Your key tasks

• Coordinate with the Product Owner and Tech Lead to meticulously define project requirements, ensuring that all developments are clearly aligned with division goals.
• Translate complex requirements into functional software and implement robust solutions to successfully tackle both business and technical challenges.
• Enhance and fine-tune current functionalities by incorporating feedback and suggestions from various external sources.
• Design and maintain automated tests to ensure the reliability and functionality of database features.
• Proactively identify and tackle any concerns within the database systems, taking full ownership of your specialized domain.

What you need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years in relevant software development
• Proven track record in database application development
• Sound comprehension of database technologies
• Experience in the following areas is an asset: PL/SQL, Oracle, PHP, JQuery, Java, Eclipse plugin development
• Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and explore new areas
• Proficiency in Git, Maven, Jenkins
• Conceptual and analytical mindset with structured and self-directed approach
