About the role 

At SEEK, we’re creating technology that helps people live more fulfilling working lives. As a Level 3 Software Engineer, you’ll design, build, and maintain web applications used by millions. You’ll work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that enhance SEEK’s platforms.

Reporting to a Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll be part of a collaborative squad that values innovation, learning, and craftsmanship. You will shape technical designs, write clean and efficient code, and mentor team members while driving improvements in SEEK’s engineering practices. Success means delivering impactful features, strengthening performance, and contributing to SEEK’s mission of connecting people with work.

What you will do 

• Build and maintain high-performing front‑end and back‑end applications
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and refine technical solutions
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technical direction
• Uphold quality through testing, reviews, and documentation
• Enhance developer workflows and CI/CD practices
• Share knowledge and mentor peers in engineering best practices
• Support system reliability and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills and experience 

• Strong experience with React, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Deep understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks and best practices
• Familiar with REST and GraphQL API development
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
• Knowledge of ElasticSearch/OpenSearch is a plus
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
