Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering robust technical solutions, ensuring the use of appropriate technologies, and driving initiatives that deliver customer value and enhance service quality. You will collaborate closely with architects to ensure all technical decisions align with our overall product architecture.
What You’ll Do
• Collaborate with lead/senior developers and product owners to design and build complex, enterprise-scale applications.
• Participate in project planning and requirement analysis with team members and Product Managers.
• Develop and maintain efficient, reusable, secure, and reliable enterprise software in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain a strong focus on quality by creating automated unit tests and ensuring the delivery of robust software.
• Provide technical support to operations and other development teams as needed.
• Continuously improve team effectiveness through agile retrospectives and process improvements.
• Engage in refinement and planning sessions to analyse requirements, estimate effort, and define implementation approaches.
• Communicate effectively in meetings and provide timely status updates on assigned tasks.
• Work effectively both as part of a team and independently when required.
What You Bring
• 2+ years of experience as a Java developer.
• Strong knowledge of Core Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience in building and deploying Docker-based services.
• Good understanding of Git, branching strategies, and source control concepts.
• Knowledge of TDD practices, code quality metrics, and strong unit testing skills.
• Experience with testing tools such as JUnit and mocking frameworks.
• Good understanding of RESTful Web Services.
• Familiarity with development and CI/CD tools such as JIRA and Jenkins.
• Experience working in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) teams.
• Exposure to cloud platforms: AWS and/or Azure.
• Familiarity with Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes orchestration.
• Ability to thrive in a highly agile, fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, algorithmic thinking, and solid coding capabilities.
• Self-driven, proactive team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude toward learning.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in software engineering.
