The Role You’ll Play

• Design and develop high-quality backend systems across web, mobile, and enterprise applications.

• Collaborate with users, product managers, and other engineers to understand requirements and guide technical solutions.

• Perform system analysis and recommend improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and security.

• Create and maintain APIs, frameworks, services, and utilities to support feature development at scale.

• Lead by example in engineering best practices—writing tests, following SDLC conventions, and implementing team-wide coding standards.

• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to architectural discussions.

• Participate in peer code reviews, mentoring, and interview panels.

• Remove blockers for your team and contribute to successful release cycles.

• Guide and delegate work to junior engineers, helping build a strong, collaborative team culture.

• Stay up to date on emerging tools and technologies that could drive innovation at Playlist.

• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system uptime and responsiveness.

Experience You Bring

• 6–8 years of engineering experience, including 4+ years working on large-scale web, mobile, or enterprise products.

• Strong hands-on experience with NoSQL databases.

• Experience with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, Elasticache, SNS, and SQS.

• Comfortable working in Visual Studio and developing in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and MVC frameworks.

• Familiarity with REACT and Ruby in a production environment.

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, SDLC, Agile practices, and programming design patterns.

• Ability to evaluate new features, assess performance impacts, and identify risk factors early.

• Highly effective at managing time, learning new technologies, and juggling multiple projects.

• Skilled at performance monitoring and tuning within service-based architectures.

• Professional and detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Backend: C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, MVC, ADO.NET, LINQ, Ruby

• Frontend: React

• Databases: NoSQL and relational databases

• DevOps & Cloud: AWS (EKS, EC2, Elasticache, SQS, SNS), SDLC best practices, Agile workflows
