Software Engineer II- Funds Management

You’ll be a key contributor on the Funds Management team at the heart of Toast’s business. This team handles billions of dollars annually with hundreds of thousands of restaurants depending on us – so it’s vital that we pay them the correct amount, on time, every single day. You’ll collaborate closely with the team to build reliable, scalable, and trustworthy features as well as working on the cutting edge of emerging real-time payment technologies. As a member of the team you’ll have opportunities to learn from other talented engineers.

About this roll* (Responsibilities)

• Work on the team that builds Toast’s payments processing platform.

• Collaborate on a new innovative settlements platform for restaurant credit card payments, seamlessly processing millions of financial transactions daily

• Learn & gain experience at every stage – solution design, estimation, coding, code review, testing, debugging, integrating, documenting, and maintaining.

• Follow best practices – quality integration, continuous delivery, automated testing, security reviews, end-to-end testing, performance testing

• Ensure that all work is delivered with quality and is monitored and supported in production

• Knowledge of Java, Kotlin or another object-oriented language

• Eager to learn about new technologies and new ways of working

• Aptitude for tackling complex and ambiguous problems with guidance of other engineers

• Enjoys building well-engineered, reliable, and scalable software as part of a team

• Driven by real-world customer impact
