About the Role

We are seeking a Fullstack Software Engineer to join our fast-growing team at Read AI. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable web applications across both frontend and backend systems. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality user experiences and robust backend services that power our AI-driven platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications across the full technology stack (frontend and backend).

• Build and optimize user interfaces using modern frameworks such as React and Typescript.

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend systems using Node.js, Java, Python, or similar technologies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and systems design sessions.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.

• Contribute to Agile development processes and CI/CD pipelines.

• Demonstrate ownership of projects and deliver solutions independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with proven fullstack development skills.

• Proficiency with modern frontend technologies (e.g., React, TypeScript, Material UI).

• Strong knowledge in computer science fundamentals and low-level programming concepts.

• Experience with backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Java, Python, AWS, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development methodologies.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-driven products or interest in AI/ML applications.

• Prior work in a startup or high-growth environment.

• Familiarity with Figma or similar design tools.

• Experience with Rust and Tauri for desktop application development.

Software Engineer positions offer a base pay range of $145,000 - $180,000 plus equity and benefits. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer low deductible health plans, as well as flexible time away and family leave programs.
