Software Engineer (Full-Stack)
Location: Remote (US/Canada)
Employment type: Full-time
About the role
We’re looking for a Software Engineer (Full-Stack) to help us design, build, and ship thoughtful, scalable product experiences. You’ll work closely with product, design, and other engineers to turn ambiguous problems into simple, intuitive solutions that our customers love.
In this role, you’ll own projects end-to-end: from collaborating on discovery and technical design, all the way through implementation, testing, and rollout.
What you’ll do
•
Design and build end-to-end features across our web stack (front-end and back-end)
•
Collaborate with product managers and designers to clarify requirements and break work into small, shippable chunks
•
Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and participate in thoughtful code reviews
•
Improve performance, reliability, and observability of existing systems
•
Contribute to technical design docs and help make pragmatic architecture decisions
•
Partner with teammates across engineering, product, design, and CX to ship iteratively and learn from real usage
•
Help improve our engineering practices, tooling, and documentation over time
What we’re looking for
•
3+ years of experience as a software engineer working on production web applications
•
Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one modern front-end framework (e.g. React, Vue)
•
Hands-on experience with server-side development (e.g. Node.js, Ruby, Python, Java, or similar)
•
Solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
•
Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and giving/receiving feedback
•
Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, about tradeoffs, risks, and decisions
•
A product mindset: you care about user experience, not just the code
Nice to have
•
Experience working in a B2B SaaS environment
•
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP) and modern DevOps practices
•
Experience with design systems or collaborating closely with product designers
•
Background in hiring, recruiting, HR tech, or talent tools (or strong interest in the space)
