About the Role

As a Software Engineer, you’ll join a growing engineering team building and evolving core banking products used by customers every day. This is a long-term role suited to an experienced engineer who enjoys working across modern backend systems while contributing to mobile and frontend experiences where needed.

You’ll work in a highly collaborative environment, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, secure software solutions. The role is hands-on, product-focused, and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact as the platform continues to grow and mature.

Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Clojure, contributing to robust, scalable systems
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver well-scoped, high-quality features
• Contribute to frontend and mobile development where required, particularly using React Native and TypeScript
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that meets engineering and security standards
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decision-making
• Help identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and technical debt
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, tooling, and system reliability
• Work effectively within an agile team, delivering iteratively and responding to evolving priorities

Requirements:
• 5+ years total professional software development experience
• Clojure – 2+ years: Hands-on experience building and maintaining backend systems in Clojure
• React Native – 1+ year: Experience contributing to mobile application development
• TypeScript – 1+ year: Experience working with typed JavaScript in frontend or mobile environments
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including clean code, testing, and maintainability
• Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional product teams
• Comfortable operating at a mid to senior level, taking ownership of features and contributing to technical decisions

Nice to Have:
• Experience working in financial services, fintech, or regulated environments
• Exposure to mobile-first or customer-facing applications at scale
• Familiarity with functional programming principles beyond Clojure
• Experience improving developer workflows, tooling, or engineering practices
• Interest in long-term product development and growing with the platform over time
