About the Team

Client Engineering is Kraken’s territory-focused engineering function. We implement, support, accelerate and invent solutions that deliver client outcomes quickly, while working closely with global Product Engineering to maintain quality and scalability. The team operates in fast-moving environments where pragmatism and collaboration matter more than perfection. As we expand into new territories, we’re growing our London-based team to support both existing and emerging markets.

What you'll Need:
• Strong experience in Python
• Experience building web applications with Django (or similar framework)
• Familiar with designing and consuming REST APIs
• Exposure to performance optimisation in production systems
• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
• Pragmatic mindset: able to ship value quickly and ask questions early

What you'll do:
• Implement Kraken’s global product into specific territory and client contexts
• Deliver accelerated features when clients need solutions faster than core roadmaps allow
• Contribute to MVP-style invention work for new capabilities
• Support live systems, resolving incidents and performance issues
• Build and maintain Python/Django services and APIs
• Collaborate closely with Product Engineering and delivery team

This is a high-ownership, delivery-focused environment where engineers are expected to operate comfortably in ambiguity and prioritise pragmatic outcomes over perfection. As Client Engineering expands into new territories, there will be opportunities to contribute to evolving market initiatives and shape how the team scales.
