Your Team & Role

The Software Engineer (Object Storage) is responsible for developing the core engine of Zadara’s high-performance, S3-compatible object storage solution. As a key component of the Zadara Edge Cloud, this general-purpose storage platform is designed for massive scale and high-throughput workloads, providing the essential data layer for enterprise applications and Sovereign AI solutions. You will architect and implement the distributed logic required to manage petabytes of data with extreme durability, ensuring that our infrastructure remains the gold standard for localized, secure, and high-performance cloud storage

Your day to day (Duties & responsibilities):
•
Design and implement robust features for the Object Storage engine, ensuring seamless S3 API compatibility and high-performance data management.

•
Build and optimize distributed algorithms for data placement, replication, and erasure coding, ensuring the platform scales linearly to meet the demands of global edge deployments.

•
Develop multi-threaded, asynchronous backend services capable of handling intense concurrent I/O and massive request rates.

•
Optimize software to maximize IOPs and throughput on edge-native hardware, ensuring efficient CPU and memory utilization across the cluster.

•
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complex distributed system failures and performance regressions, providing architectural solutions that improve long-term resilience.

•
Partner with distributed engineering teams across different time zones to ensure a unified architectural vision and synchronized release cycles for the Zadara Edge Cloud.

•
Collaborate closely with QA and Automation teams to design comprehensive test plans, focusing on deep-dive system validation for complex storage scenarios.

•
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to cloud computing.

What you bring:
•
3+ years of experience

•
Strong C, C++ or Golang programing skills

•
Excellent understanding of Linux/Unix platform and the concepts

•
Strong verbal and written communication skills

•
High motivation to work in dynamic and innovative startup

Your education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science
