Your Role:

As a Backend Engineer on our team, you will be a key contributor to the evolution of our product platform. We are looking for a developer who thrives on the challenge of building from the ground up—someone who is equally comfortable helping to define a robust technical architecture as they are diving into the day-to-day work of API development, system design, and ticket execution. You will work as a core member of an agile team, partnering closely with Product and Frontend peers to translate requirements into scalable, high-performance server-side logic. This role is ideal for a proactive contributor who is energized by the end-to-end development process—from shaping database schemas and micro-services foundations to delivering on daily product goals—ensuring we provide a seamless, reliable experience for our customers while maintaining the stability and security of our current production environment.

What You'll Do:

• Build and maintain modern backend infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, resilient, and optimized for high-performance data processing and system reliability.
• Take full ownership of features from architectural design to deployment, including handling day-to-day development tasks, system optimizations, and support tickets to ensure seamless product growth.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Frontend teams to build robust APIs and services that power intuitive, high-performance user experiences.
• Establish best practices for code quality, system modularity, and testing, ensuring the stability and maintainability of our microservices and databases.
• Partner with Frontend engineers to design efficient data contracts and API specifications, ensuring smooth data flow and optimal system integration as our services evolve.

What You'll Need:

• BSc in Computer Science or a related degree from a recognized institution, or a strong track record in server-side development with advanced technical skills.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering with a demonstrated ability to work on large-scale projects and solve complex technical problems.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Kotlin, Java, C++, Go, or equivalent, with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud-native architecture (e.g., Kubernetes, microservices), and APIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, with knowledge of best practices for deploying and maintaining cloud-based services.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with experience debugging and resolving production issues in complex systems.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently, while embracing a collaborative team spirit and actively contributing to the team’s technical growth.
• Prior experience working in a cybersecurity company or on security-focused projects is preferred.
