Software Engineer 1 - Backend

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team focusing on building innovative analytics platform solutions. This role is ideal for someone passionate about software development and excited about working with a variety of languages and frameworks to develop scalable and high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and enhance our analytics platform using languages such as Scala, Java, or Python.

• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

• Review and contribute to technical discussions to improve team processes.

• Learn and implement new technologies as needed to meet project requirements.

• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.

• Document development processes, code changes, and technical information.

• Contribute to the improvement of our deployment processes and toolchain.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of professional experience in software development in a product development organization.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Scala, Java, or Python.

• Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies.

• Knowledge of relational databases (especially Postgres) and SQL.

• Familiarity with multiple languages/technologies (e.g., Spark, Langchain, Elixir) is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
