Job Summary:
The Software Development Manager, based in Athens, will be responsible for defining the technology vision, overseeing the architecture and guiding the implementation of enterprise-grade investment sector software solutions. This role will lead development efforts within wealth related projects, guide engineering teams, and ensure delivery of high-performing and secure solutions. You will work closely with product, architecture, and client teams to design, build, and implement advanced banking platforms and services.
What You Will Do:
• Lead and manage a software development team
• Design, evolve, and maintain product architecture
• Define and drive the product roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects and priorities
• Gather, validate, and document business requirements
• Manage Agile processes including sprints, backlog, and ticketing
• Oversee release management and ensure high-quality, timely deliveries
• Participate in customer-facing activities such as line reviews and sales calls
• Align technical execution with business and product objectives
Requirements:
• Strong experience with the .NET technology stack
• Solid background in microservices architecture
• Experience with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or equivalent)
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions
Profile:
• BS or MS in Computer Science
• Experience in the Financial sector, preferably Investment-related systems
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a similar leadership role
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven system design and architectural expertise
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with technical depth
