Job Description

The Software Development Director will be accountable for all Software Engineering capability required to maintain and evolve the product suite. You will also be accountable for the effective organization and performance of the Software Engineering capability. You will oversee considerable expansion, ensuring a successful transition to the on-shore / off-shore delivery model and delivering on the benefits of local skills and time-zones to support our international customers.

You will be expected to collaborate strongly with Product, Architecture and Infrastructure Directors and have significant input to the Product and Technology strategy and roadmap, in line with Business strategy.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Languages – Fluent in both English and can communicate with PH based teams in both English and Filipino
• Agile practitioner capabilities and experience working with or in Agile teams.
• Knowledge of DevOps principles, practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes / EKS-based container orchestration, Azure DevOps).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. A commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive working environment.
• Agile practitioner capabilities and experience working with or in Agile teams.
• Experience in ERP and financially focused software is a distinct advantage.
• Experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLM) is preferred Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
• Demonstrated experience in applying streaming and event driven techniques.
