Software Developer II - Experience Builder

Overview

Use your talent for creative web design and outstanding technical skills in our Software Development Division. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Beijing R&D team developing web sites, cloud solution and applications for broad use in the GIS and web mapping communities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain public-facing and highly scalable web mapping sites, cloud based solutions and applications through concept, design, and implementation phases

• Transfer innovative concepts and designs into cutting edge web based products and services

• Ensure cross-browser, cross-platform integrity of web designs

• Maintain knowledge of current trends in web site development

• Deliver exceptional quality service to all clients

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in computer science, geography or related field

• 2+ years of experience with web design and web frontend development

• Proven web design/development experience using HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript and JavaScript.

• Experience with front-end development libraries, such as React, Angular, Vue, etc.

• Background building high availability and high scalability solutions

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills

• Creative problem-solving skills and proven good judgment

• Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills

• Existing work authorization for China

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience designing web mapping sites and geospatial applications

• Experience on server side development such as Node.js, LAMP platform, Ruby on Rails or Java EE.

• Prior experience working in a cross-platform environment

• Master’s in computer science, geography or related field
