About the role

Want to shape real-world systems that actually matter?

We’re looking for a Software Architect to join our consulting team in Uppsala, working closely with clients to design solutions that are built to last.

This isn’t a role where you sit on the sidelines drawing diagrams. You’ll be hands-on, working with teams and customers to turn complex needs into smart, scalable systems.

 

What you’ll do:

• Lead architecture work in client projects – making sure solutions are scalable, secure, and future-proof
• Spot risks early (technical, architectural, or operational) and help solve them before they become problems
• Work closely with developers, testers, designers, and product roles – you’re part of the team, not above it
• Partner with customers to understand their needs and translate them into practical technical solutions
• Support and mentor others – helping teams grow while solving tough technical challenges together

 

What you bring:

We’re not looking for a perfect checklist – but if most of this sounds like you, we’d love to talk:

• Solid experience (+5 years)  in software development, with time spent working on architecture
• Comfortable designing systems using microservices, APIs, and modern backend technologies
• Experience with Java/Spring (or similar ecosystems)
• Familiarity with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.)
• Strong backend background
• Fluent Swedish (spoken & written) is required

 

Nice to have (not required):

• Experience from healthcare or other regulated industries
• Knowledge of standards like HL7, FHIR, or similar
• Experience with DevOps, infrastructure, or cloud environments
• Understanding of GDPR or data protection in practice
