Social Worker – Acute Care
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Employment Type: Full Time
Pay Range: $27–$42/hour (based on experience)
Position Summary
Provides professional social work services in an acute care setting, including patient assessments, care coordination, and development of safe, comprehensive discharge plans. Offers emotional support to patients and families and connects them with appropriate resources.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (or equivalent)
Minimum 1 year of professional social work experience in a hospital or social services setting
Relevant internship or fieldwork may qualify
Active Nevada Social Worker license
3+ years of acute care social work experience preferred
Recent documented practicum may qualify for training underfill
Knowledge & Skills
Social work principles, healthcare regulations, and community resources
Assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and discharge planning
Strong communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a hospital or office setting with prolonged standing/walking; occasional lifting up to 20 lbs; effective vision, hearing, and communication skills.
