Social Video Editor (Contract)

Neighbor is seeking a highly skilled and creative Video Editor Contractor to transform user-generated content (UGC) and raw host footage into high-impact, scroll-stopping social advertisements for platforms like Meta and YouTube. This will be a project-based role. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, iterative environment, crafting compelling, on-brand testimonial clips with a strong instinct for performance-driven creative content.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Performance-Driven Ad Creation: Edit raw UGC and host footage into high-impact, performance-ready social ads. Develop multiple cutdowns, hooks, and variants for rapid testing, ensuring your edits earn attention quickly (within 2–3 seconds) and follow a consistent structure: hook → proof → value → CTA.
• Mobile-First Optimization: Ensure all finished ads—including video, graphics, and text—are fully optimized for mobile screens with tight pacing, clear CTAs, and high readability.
• Efficient Post-Production & Review: Manage the full post-production workflow (color correction, sound balancing, on-screen text/subtitles, clean exports). Maintain an efficient, process-driven review cycle by actively managing uploads, versioning, and communications in Frame.io.
• Maintain Brand Voice: Ensure your work is Unmistakably Neighbor—helpful, human, and straightforward, avoiding hypey or corporate tones.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a video editor with a strong reel demonstrating exceptional UGC editing instincts (timing, trims, story, pacing).
• Fluency in professional editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro).
• Comfortable with high-volume versioning and rapid feedback cycles for direct response advertising.
• Strong instincts for mobile-readable on-screen text and solid understanding of visual composition and storytelling.
