Purpose of Role/Summary:
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for managing and growing the company’s social media presence across all platforms. The role focuses on planning and executing content calendars, developing engaging content ideas, increasing audience growth and engagement, and ensuring professional community management.
The specialist will also support on-ground content creation, including shooting reels and videos covering company events in Jordan, and internationally when required.
Main Activities and Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy & Planning:
Develop and manage monthly and quarterly social media content calendars aligned with marketing campaigns and business objectives
Ensure consistent publishing across all platforms in line with the approved content plan
Identify opportunities to improve content performance through data-driven insights and trends
Content Creation & Ideation:
Generate creative ideas for engaging posts across different formats (static, video, reels, stories, and short-form content)
Collaborate with design and multimedia teams to produce high-quality, on-brand content
Stay updated with social media trends, formats, and platform updates
Video Content Production:
Shoot and produce different types of video content for social media and marketing purposes, including reels, promotional videos, and campaign content
Support content creation both in-office and on-location
Ensure content is optimized for multiple platforms and formats
Audience Growth & Engagement:
Grow and maintain a relevant and engaged audience across all social media platforms
Optimize content to improve follower growth, engagement rate, reach, and interactions
Test and experiment with different content approaches to improve performance
Community Management & Moderation:
Manage daily interactions across all platforms (comments, messages, mentions)
Ensure timely, professional, and brand-aligned responses
Monitor conversations and escalate issues when needed
Brand Safety & Online Reputation:
Monitor brand sentiment and ensure alignment with brand guidelines and compliance requirements
Identify and escalate potential risks or negative trends
Support maintaining a positive brand image
Regional & Channel Support:
Support setup and management of new social media channels and regional pages
Provide guidance and best practices for social media usage across teams
Assist in aligning messaging across different markets
Event Coverage:
Cover company events and activations by capturing real-time content (videos, stories, behind-the-scenes).
Travel when required for regional or international events.
Deliver timely and engaging event-related content.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience Required: 2 years or more in a relevant position
Languages required: English proficiency spoken and written / Arabic fluent spoken and written
Further Info:
Working hours are Sunday to Thursday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with the company’s fixable hours policy - we might need him/her to work on shifts based on the business need.
