Soccer VAR Operator (part-time)

Your mission:
Summary
Sportec Solutions Inc. is seeking a technically skilled, detail-oriented part-time VAR Operator (m/f/d) to support live soccer matches from a replay center. You will manage video replay systems, select camera angles, and deliver timely footage to assist referees with decisions on goals, penalties, and red cards for competitions, including Major League Soccer (MLS).

Job Playbook (key duties)
• Operate VAR systems: Set up, configure, and run replay hardware and software before and during matches.
• Match support: Provide referees with relevant clips and optimal camera angles during live reviews.
• System monitoring and troubleshooting: Ensure all feeds and equipment function correctly and resolve technical issues quickly.
• Prepare camera feeds: Organize and cue camera angles for efficient review during live operation.
• Post-match documentation: Complete reports and logs to support continuous improvement of VAR operations.
• Rule compliance: Apply and maintain a strong working knowledge of the laws of the game when preparing and presenting footage.
• Independent operation: Work autonomously in the VAR role while coordinating with a small team and match officials.

Your profile:
Baseline Credentials (must-haves)
• Technical proficiency: Strong PC skills, affinity for technology, and ability to learn new software rapidly.
• Attention to detail: Fast, concentrated, and accurate work under live-pressure conditions.
• Football knowledge: Good understanding of current soccer rules and match situations.
• Communication: Clear, professional communication with referees, colleagues, and partners.
• Teamwork and reliability: High degree of responsibility, organizational strength, and solution-oriented independence.
• Language skills: Very good spoken and written English; Spanish or other languages are an advantage.
• Availability: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
• Location: Must be currently living in the United States and located in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX region.

Wildcard Win If You Have 
• Experience in IT projects, game or data analysis, or live broadcast operations.
• Background as a soccer referee or experience in match officiating.
• Prior work with replay systems, video editing, or sports technology platforms.
• Comfortable working in a small, international, sports-focused team.
