Soccer Live Event Data Operator for MLS (part-time)

Your mission:
Summary
Sportec Solutions seeks a detail-oriented part-time Soccer Live Event Data Operator (m/f/d) to collect and enter live match data for professional soccer competitions. Using an advanced input system and television footage, your team will capture goals, shots, and other defined events in real time and deliver accurate, timely datasets to our Major League Soccer (MLS) clients.

Job  Playbook (key duties)
• Live data capture: Monitor televised matches and enter all goals, shots, and match events into the input system as they occur.
• Event evaluation: Apply a fixed catalog of definitions to evaluate and classify game events both live and during post-match review.
• League coverage: Accurately enter and validate data for MLS, MLS Next Pro, and Leagues Cup fixtures.
• Team coordination: Work closely with a colleague to split roles, maintain speed and accuracy, and ensure complete coverage.
• Quality control: Review and correct entries after matches to meet Sportec’s accuracy standards.
• Training and assessment: Complete a recruitment test, mandatory training, and practice assignments before live shifts.

Your profile:
Baseline Credentials (must-haves)• Strong knowledge of soccer rules and match events.
• Close attention to detail and the ability to apply standardized definitions consistently.
• Fast, accurate data entry and comfortable working under time pressure.
• Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet workspace for live match coverage.
• Availability for match schedules, including evenings, weekends, and occasional travel to different time zones.
• Must be currently living in the United States and located in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX region.

Wildcard Win If You Have • Previous experience with live sports data entry or performance analysis.
• Familiarity with MLS competitions.
• Comfortable working in different match roles based on strengths and preferences.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with teammates and supervisors.
