SMALL PROJECTS SALES LEAD

We are looking to expand our sales team with an experienced and driven salesperson focused on small horticulture sales, drainage solutions, and (possibly) irrigation improvements. This role is ideal for someone who loves helping homeowners solve problems, improve their landscapes, and move projects from “idea” to “scheduled” with clarity and excitement.

This position is responsible for:
● Responding to and managing incoming leads for small projects (horticulture, drainage, and select irrigation)
● Meeting customers onsite to assess needs, identify constraints, and propose solutions that fit their goals and budget
● Creating clear, accurate proposals and estimates (scope, materials, labor, timeline)
● Educating customers on best practices and options (planting upgrades, bed refurbishments, grading/drainage fixes, downspout tie-ins, surface drainage, etc.)
● Coordinating with production managers/crew leads to ensure smooth scheduling, job planning, and execution
● Following up with customers, answering questions quickly, and delivering a consistent “Lotus-level” experience
● Tracking opportunities and maintaining strong communication internally so nothing falls through the cracks

The successful candidate will bring a unique blend of relationship-building, landscape knowledge, and practical problem-solving to the role.

Must have the following experience, knowledge or skills:
● Sales experience preferred (or strong field experience with a desire to grow into sales)

● Practical understanding of residential horticulture and landscape installation/maintenance

● Strong understanding of drainage fundamentals; ability to diagnose common water issues and propose solutions

● Strong communication and organizational skills (timely follow-up, clear proposals, accurate scope)

● Self-motivated with drive to meet and exceed goals

● Ability to work collaboratively with production managers, designers, and leadership

● Irrigation familiarity is a plus (basic system knowledge, common repairs/upgrades, or ability to coordinate subcontracted work)

● Excellent customer service with ability to build long-term relationships based on delivering creative, joyful and dependable service

● Clean driving record and drug-testing required
