We currently have a role available for a Small Molecule Purification Chemist.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Identifying, characterizing and purifying small molecule pharmaceutical compounds using analytical and chromatographic techniques (UPLC, HPLC, prep-LC, SFC, LC-MS, etc.).

Accustomed to purifying samples weighing between milligram - over 100 g samples; completing 50+ samples/wk.

This DOES NOT include protein, oligonucleotide and other large molecules.

Conducting preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on instrumentation as needed.

Rapidly developing unique and effective methods on LC and SFC.

Investigating LC-MS columns/methods for specific projects.

Working as a team with other chemists, external resources and data management groups.

Providing critical feedback to improve workflow and chemistry performance and implementation of best practices.

Job requirements include, but are not limited to:

MS in Biochemistry, Chemistry or related field with 3+ years of pharma laboratory experience outside of academia/academic research.  BS in Biochemistry or related field with 5+ years of experience will also be considered.

Extensive theoretical knowledge of UPLC, LC, LC-MS required, as well as hands-on experience with Waters and Agilent systems.

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

Works well both within a team and as an individual.

Demonstration of excellent team player and collaboration skills, very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
