AECOM is seeking Professional Land Surveyor to operate under the Director of Geomatics and work jointly with department heads to manage and schedule field and office tasks.  This position will:
• Coordinate and assign personnel to field teams on a daily basis and provide detailed direction on each task as given to the coordinator by internal project managers or task leads.
• Close supervision of the field work to ensure all applicable rules, standards, and regulations are being applied and that it meets the professional standard.
• Provide daily assistance to the field teams via telephone or other electronic forms of communication to gather any information needed by the teams and communicate a prompt response.
• Monitor and check the field work daily to provide quality controls and provide immediate feedback to the field leads to meet the project scope and budget.
• Serve as an integral component of the quality control and assurance process.
• Provide coordination for successful delivery of the field product to the appropriate CAD or BIM leads.
• Maintain close contact with project managers and task leads to resolve project question that arise during a project life cycle such as, but not limited to, technical requirements, completion requirements, schedule, and budget.
• Act as a project lead as needed with project oversight, processing, or CAD tasks.
• Provide effective mentorship through guidance and knowledge to staff.
 
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying or related field and 10 years of land surveying experience including 2 years of leadership or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Professional Land Surveying licensure or Land Surveyor in Training designation with ability to achieve licensure with 1 year 
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation, and/or OpenRoads
• Knowledge of ALTA/ACSM land survey policy and field procedures
• Working knowledge of ESRI products
• Experience performing all aspects of field run topography, data collection and coding, and proper terrestrial laser scanning principles and techniques.
• Project management experience and basic understanding of financial principles related to project budgets
• Relocation assistance is not available.
• Sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not available now or in the future.
• This is a part-time role 20 hours per week
