THE ROLE
Position: Site Supervisor
Competition Number: CNS 2025-03-30
Location: Central Services Building, Halifax
Reports to: HRM District Manager
Working Hours: 0700-1500 Monday-Friday (some weekend and/or overtime will be required/necessary)
Hourly Wage: $19.12 per hour
Closing Date: 13 April, 2026
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Data Centre access control and pass/key issuance
Rounds/patrols of interior and exterior of building
Monitoring of CCTV cameras
Familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office suite and site specific camera software
Monitoring for various alarms and escalate/report to appropriate staff as detailed by client
Report building infrastructure issues to appropriate staff
Contractor escort into area as required
Safety footwear/PPE as required
Parcel receipt/retention for parts destined for Data Centre
Schedule creation and management
Familiarity with OnWatch and various tools within for site management
Monitor for any power outages in local area that may impact Data Centre operations
Ensure adherence to NS Provincial Government Datacentre SOPs and Access Protocols as well as Provincial Data Centre After Hours Incident Escalation Procedures. Documents provided to us and revised by client. They have asked me not to share soft copies as information contained within is proprietary and sensitive.
Conduct after hour responses as required

Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must:
Be aged 19 or older;
Be legally eligible to work in Canada;
Not have a criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted;
Be able to provide fingerprints and complete a criminal record check;
Be eligible to apply for, and attain, Government of Canada secret security clearance;
Be able to communicate effectively in English
Qualifications and Skills
The incumbent must possess the following experience, skills, and attributes:
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgement and decision making in emergency situations
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to changing situations
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to lead a team focused on the common goal of providing superior service to the client
Computer proficiency using MS Suite software
Superior attention to detail
Due to the scheduled hours, reliable transportation is required
Valid, graduates NS driver’s license required
