RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Field Operations Director, a Site Superintendent at Highstreet will lead and manage the on-site construction team and oversee all site activities. The Site Superintendent is responsible for schedule and budget execution, on-site organization and compliance with safety regulations. You will ensure quality and cleanliness standards are met, scheduling is on track, roadblocks are removed for our trade partners, and all equipment and materials are readily available on site. You will liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Lead and coordinate construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers by providing clear direction and leadership

Develop and implement project work plans while overseeing budgets

Monitor project schedules and proactively remove obstacles to maintain progress

Ensure overall project quality standards are met

Maintain site safety and cleanliness at all times

Oversee project completion and handover

IDEAL CANDIDATE

We view our trade partners as integral to our success, and the Site Superintendent plays a key role in building and strengthening these relationships. Success in this role relies on close collaboration across project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, without compromising quality or safety.

Required experience:

5-9+ years in site supervision role on multi-family residential or commercial job site

In-depth knowledge of building trades, superior communication and motivational skills and an ability to monitor and drive project progress

Knowledge and experience with project management principles

Knowledge and training related to Lean Construction Methodology is an asset

Competent in using Microsoft Office including Outlook, Teams and Excel is required

Bluebeam experience is an asset

Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and regulations essential

Compensation Package:

Annual Salary: $120,000-$150,000 - dependent on experience

Annual Bonus: Highstreet pays an annual bonus based on company performance. A typical bonus for a Site Superintendent is approximately 35% of annual salary. Determined annually, the bonus could be more or less depending on performance results.

Investment Opportunity: Highstreet encourages all employees to share in our success by offering the opportunity to invest in the projects we build and operate. To encourage employee investment, Highstreet matches employee investment at 50%, up to 20% of annual salary (i.e. for every $1 invested by the employee, Highstreet invests $0.50 on the employee's behalf). The investments are TFSA and RRSP eligible.
