Position Description: 

Today we are seeking multiple dedicated and experienced Site Superintendents to join our team for the development of multi-residential apartment buildings in Ottawa. In addition to the duties typically expected of a Site Superintendent, as the successful incumbent you will be responsible to:

Manage and oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules.

Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager, highlighting any issues or delays and proposing solutions.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality standards and project specifications.

Manage and resolve any on-site conflicts or issues that may arise during construction.

Ensure all construction activities comply with local building codes, regulations, and zoning laws.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.

Foster a positive working environment and build strong relationships with all project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in multi-rise residential construction.

In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

We are an on-site crew 5 days a week.  We sometimes work late to make sure we meet our deliverables, so the ability to work flexible and irregular hours is required. However, we do respect your work/life balance too.
