Job Description
SRE / Platform / Environment Engineer
Contract Role – Singapore Location
Responsibilities:
- Manage and control the application’s software and deployment through systematically planned release schedules, covering the entire software development lifecycle from development to staging, testing, and production.
- Oversee and maintain multiple test environments on the Bank’s core platform, including configurations and connectivity for connected satellite applications.
- Provide support and coordination for the execution of various IT projects, including executing tests and regressions within the environments.
- Ensure regular health checks, system connectivity, consistency, and data integrity for all test environments.
- Manage deployment processes for both production and test environments.
- Provision environments at the project level for all testing phases, including system integration, user acceptance, and system availability and performance tests.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding environment status.
- Manage key dates and expectations related to test environments, proactively highlighting risks and issues.
- Provide environment support during test execution phases.
- Deploy application development builds and other technical changes to environments as required.
- Collaborate with global teams to support and coordinate global environment-related changes.
- Review deployment instructions and execute deployments for both production and test environments.
- Work closely with the change manager to coordinate all releases.
Requirements:
- Exposure to technical requirements analysis, planning, configuration management, and hands-on technical skills is required.
- Previous experience in environments management is a plus.
- Understanding of Agile and DevOps processes is an advantage.
- Technical knowledge of LINUX/UNIX systems, J2EE, and JBoss servers is mandatory.
- Knowledge of T24 and its underlying architecture is required.
- Familiarity with UC4/Automic Batch scheduling is an advantage.
- Experience with deployment tools such as ARA and Octopus is an advantage.
- Experience with bug tracking and agile project management tools like JIRA is preferred.
- Understanding of MySQL or Oracle on different database platforms is preferred.
