Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

At CORUS we are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our IT Operations team on an international project.

Location: 100% remote from Spain

Objectives:

Measure and optimize system performance through the implementation and management of an appropriate monitoring system
Ensure the availability and reliability of systems
Ensure quick service recovery in case of incidents and identify/resolve the root cause
Provide engineering support in the implementation of distributed and Cloud systems

Responsibilities:

Collect and analyze metrics from systems and applications to identify and resolve issues and optimize behavior
Collaborate with the application development team to improve services through testing and release/deployment processes
Participate in system design and contribute to resource monitoring (capacity planning)
Contribute to solution design with a future management (Operations) perspective, including complex mixed architectures (on-premise/Cloud)
Manage activities for identifying and resolving IT incidents with the goal of quickly restoring services (incident management)
Conduct analysis sessions to identify the primary cause of IT incidents (problem management)

Requirements:

Degree in scientific disciplines
Experience in the analysis and development of software applications, with preference given to knowledge of Python, .NET, Java, Oracle PL/SQL
In-depth knowledge of distributed and Cloud systems, with preferred qualifications including knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud, Linux and Microsoft systems, relational databases, Kubernetes, OCP, EKS
Proactive approach in identifying potential issues and areas for system improvement
Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) and DevOps methodology
