Job Summary

As a Site Operations Engineer (19787), you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient software applications. Your role will involve leading technical projects, mentoring junior engineers, and continuously improving software development practices to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software systems. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design, implement, and maintain automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Ansible and Python to ensure consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency

• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines across platforms such as GitLab, GitHub, and AWS Code/CDK to enable reliable and seamless deployments to staging and production environments

• Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases across on-prem and AWS environments, including performance tuning, backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, and database migrations using AWS DMS

• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems across hybrid infrastructures (on-prem and AWS), support incident management, and contribute to infrastructure migrations with a “no surprises in production” mindset

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience

• Proven experience as a DevOps, SiteOps, or Infrastructure Engineer supporting scalable production systems

• Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and operational tooling

• Hands-on expertise with Ansible for configuration management and infrastructure automation

• Solid experience managing PostgreSQL databases including optimization, replication, backup, and recovery strategies

• Experience working in hybrid environments including private data centers and AWS cloud

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or AWS pipelines

• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, or Grafana Cloud

• Strong knowledge of Linux systems including CentOS and Alma Linux

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, load balancing, security best practices, and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
