We are seeking a seasoned Site Head to lead and manage the complete operations of a chemical manufacturing facility, ensuring high standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency while delivering on business objectives. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing production planning, process optimization, and plant performance, while maintaining strict adherence to process safety management (PSM) and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards. You will drive regulatory compliance, manage site-level financial performance including P&L and cost optimization, and ensure consistent plant uptime through strong maintenance and reliability programs. The role also involves leading cross-functional teams, managing contractors and industrial relations, and handling audits, inspections, and statutory reporting. As a key decision-maker, you will play a critical role in building a zero-incident safety culture and ensuring preparedness for emergency and crisis situations. This position is ideal for an experienced professional with deep expertise in chemical manufacturing, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex plant operations while aligning operational performance with business goals.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee end-to-end plant operations, including production planning and process optimization
• Ensure strict adherence to process safety management (PSM) and EHS standards
• Drive compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements
• Manage site P&L, budgeting, and cost optimization initiatives
• Lead maintenance and reliability programs to ensure maximum plant uptime
• Build and sustain a strong safety culture with a focus on zero incidents
• Handle audits, inspections, and statutory compliance reporting
• Manage cross-functional teams, contractors, and industrial relations effectively
• Lead emergency response planning and crisis management initiatives
What Makes You a Great Fit
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
• 15–20+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing with plant leadership exposure
• Strong knowledge of process safety, EHS regulations, and plant operations
• Proven leadership and team management experience in complex industrial environments
• Ability to manage financial performance including P&L and cost control
• Experience handling audits, compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with plant automation systems such as DCS and SCADA
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and crisis management capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to drive operational excellence while maintaining safety and compliance standards
