Job Description

Flynn is a first-generation construction company with operations across Ireland, UK and Northern Europe. We specialize in Critical Environments such as Data Centres, Life Sciences, Aviation, High Value Manufacturing and Critical Logistics.

We are currently seeking experienced and talented Site Foreman to join our high performing project team in Cork. If you would like to join a company who wins high profile projects with blue chip clients and if you enjoy working in a stimulating environment, then Flynn is the company for you.

REPORTING TO: Site Manager/Project Manager

Purpose of role

Oversee site operations/task responsibilities on a day-to-day basis ensuring work is done safely, on time & to the highest quality standard.

Role Responsibilities

Take control of snag list and ensure that it is all completed.

Ensuring that the end product meets the customer’s expectation in relation to build and finish.

Ensure Completion Dates are met

You will be assisting with the plant/material requirements and advising Site Managers on progress reports.

Ensuring works are carried out to the correct standard whilst also inspecting the sub-contractors work.

Ability to prioritise workload and work in a timely manner.

The Candidate

Trade background preferable.

Knowledge of the latest building regulation and certification standards.

Previous experience with large scale commercial projects.

Self-starter with good judgment when working under pressure.

Ability to work proactively on one’s own initiative.

A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for tasks/projects.
