Position Summary
The Site Controller is responsible to lead the accounting department in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and operations to ensure accurate accounting operations, effective project execution, and clear communication with stakeholders..
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee the general ledger accounting function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong financial controls.
• Manage the accounting department for California operations, providing leadership and oversight of daily accounting activities.
• Perform revenue recognition for Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) programs in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Conduct database audits of intercompany revenue allocations to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data.
• Calculate and record warranty liabilities and amortization schedules; calculate and record the deferral and recognition of warranty-related revenue.
• Prepare monthly revenue cutoff deferrals for customer contracts with FOB destination terms to ensure proper revenue recognition.
• Oversee the month-end close process, including review of inventory, cash, bank, prepaid, accrued expenses, fixed assets, material, labor, intercompany and payroll accounts.
• Prepare and deliver financial analyses, reports, and schedules to support management decision-making and operational planning.
• Partner with operations to support financial performance and achieve operating objectives.
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls while overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including complex and non-routine transactions.
• Review and approve accounts payable disbursement, including payment lists, wire transfers, and check signing.
Supervision of Personnel
• This role will be responsible for supervision/management of the Staff Accountant(s).
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience within large-scale manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, cost accounting, and core accounting principles within a manufacturing or site-based environment
• High level of personal effectiveness with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, as well as a demonstrated ability to identify and improve systems and procedures and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced onsite environment
• Demonstrated high level of ethical conduct, integrity, and professionalism in handling confidential financial and operational information
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, and site leadership to support business decision-making
• Solid financial management experience including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting at the site or business unit level
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), with demonstrated experience utilizing mid-to-high tier ERP (Infor, SAP, Oracle, JDE, or other) and other accounting/financial systems to support reporting, analysis, and day-to-day financial operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders

Location
• The position is onsite position in our Fremont, California facilities and may require up to 10% travel to IEM facilities, supplier sites, compliance audits or conferences.
The California salary range for this position is $ 180000 - $230000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
