Who will you be working with?
Wabtec’s Digital Intelligence Signaling & Systems team is a recognized industry leader in the successful delivery of complex integrated system projects. These projects involve signaling, train control, communications, and back-office solutions with a strong focus on project execution, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction
 
Where will you be Working? 
This is a FIFO role (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, Wednesday to Tuesday), in the Pilbara region. 
 
How will you make a difference? 
As a member of Wabtec Control Systems this role will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing signalling systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of customer and client rail networks.
 
What will your typical day look like? 
• Install, test, and commission signalling equipment including track circuits, point machines, signals, and train control systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure the integrity and reliability of signalling infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in signalling systems, utilising technical expertise and diagnostic tools to identify and rectify issues promptly.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement signalling upgrades and modifications, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support during commissioning activities and ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
• Document maintenance activities, test results, and equipment performance to maintain accurate records and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the development of training materials and provide mentoring and guidance to client-side maintenance teams, junior staff and apprentices. 
 
What do we want to know about you? 
• Certificate IV in Rail Signalling (Electrical) – Essential
• A Grade Electrical License - WA
• Statement of Competency
• Rail Industry Worker Card
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different work sites, including Remote WA  as required.
• Proven experience working in the rail industry, preferably in signalling maintenance, installation and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of signalling principles, standards and regulations, and relevant rail safety standards.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
