Title: Short-Form Video Producer & In-House Videographer

Position Overview
The Short-Form Video Producer & In-House Videographer will support the College’s marketing and communications efforts by producing engaging, high-quality video content for social media and institutional use.
This role is primarily focused on creating short-form, social-first video content, while also supporting the production of professional in-house video for marketing, programs, and institutional communications. The successful candidate will work closely with the Social Media Lead and marketing team to execute video content aligned with the College’s content strategy.
Responsibilities:
Social-First Short-Form Video (Primary Responsibility):
Produce short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
Capture authentic content featuring students, faculty, campus life, classes, and events
Film phone-style videos, quick interviews, behind-the-scenes content, and day-in-the-life clips
Edit videos with strong hooks, captions, fast pacing, and retention-focused structure
Ensure all content feels native to social media platforms and aligns with brand guidelines.
Professional In-House Video (Secondary Responsibility):
Produce polished video content such as talking-head videos, interviews, testimonials, and program videos
Set up basic studio lighting and audio (lavaliers and shotgun microphones)
Operate mirrorless or DSLR cameras for professional shoots
Edit videos using b-roll, stock footage, captions, and on-screen text
Prepare content for use on websites, YouTube, advertising, and presentations
Collaboration & Workflow:
Work closely with the Social Media Lead on content planning and execution
Manage video production timelines and deliverables
Maintain organized video files and assets
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong understanding of short-form video content for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
Experience filming both casual, mobile-style video and professional camera-based video
Comfortable filming real people in real environments
Knowledge of basic lighting, framing, and audio capture
Proficiency with video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar
Experience adding captions, b-roll, and stock footage
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Strong attention to detail and creative storytelling skills
